Dr. Benjamin Wax
There is a relatively small segment of leaders in the academic world; individuals who have applied their educational knowledge with practical world experience to win world and national titles in the sports of bodybulding and powerlifting, previously owned 3 Curves Fitness Centers, owns real estate, published numerous articles, Professor at Mississippi State University, and now has transferred this wealth of experience to impact others by joining the John Maxwell Team.
He is enlightening and educating others through seminars, workshops, and executive coaching. Transforming lives and fostering leadership is what he is all about. With an enthusiastic and passionate attitude, Benjamin radiates a sincere passion for delivering value and benefits to others.
Education: Benjamin earned his Associate degree from Itawamba Community College before transferring to Mississippi State University where he earned a B.S. in Sport Pedagogy and a M.S. in Exercise Science. He continued his education at the University of Mississippi where he earned a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology. Benjamin’s academic honors include Mississippi State University’s President’s list (3 terms) and Dean’s list (two terms). Additionally, he received 3 academic awards (3 years concurrently) from Mississippi State University’s Minority Association, as well as a National Minority Academic Achievement Award.
Achievements: Benjamin competed as a competitive powerlifter (242 class) amassing a record of fifty-nine 1st place finishes and one 2nd finish. His 1st place titles include the Men’s World Powerlifting National Championships, Junior World Powerlifting Champion American Drug Free Collegiate National Championships, Worlds Men American Drug Free Powerlifting Champion, Teenage American Drug Free Powerlifting Association Championships and Mississippi’s ADFPA and APA Champion to name a few. Additionally, he won the National Physique Committee’s (NPC) Collegiate National Bodybuilding Championship, Southern Bodybuilding Championships, Mississippi Bodybuilding Championship, and a host of other titles.
Personal Life:
Benjamin currently resides in North Mississippi with his wife Cynthia and son Chandler.
