Heddwyn Williams
Call me Heddwyn! I’m your friend because I’m passionate about making a difference in the lives of people like you. For the last 14 years, I’ve been doing that in the lives of children, families and communities in Kenya. As a John Maxwell Certified teacher, speaker, coach, I’m excited at the opportunity to expand that to empowering organisations and businesses to maximize their potential.
I share that passion with my wife Lydiah, who is Kenyan. We got married in Nairobi in 1986 when I was working in South Sudan for eight years as Finance Director of ACROSS, a Christian relief and development organization. We have four grown-up children and three grandchildren.
We moved to Swansea, Wales in 1989, but with a burning desire to take action regarding the plight of children living on the streets of Nairobi. In 1996, we founded a UK Charity named Tumaini kwa watoto (Children of hope) and relocated to Nairobi Kenya in 1998. As the work among orphans and vulnerable children in Kenya began to grow, we discovered the leadership materials of John Maxwell, which transformed our lives. Thereafter, we invested in growing ourselves and our wonderful team using John’s and other relevant materials. To date, we have had the joy of rescuing close to 700 children from the streets of Nairobi, successfully reintegrating them with their families in various parts of Kenya. Every child needs a family!
In April 2011, we returned to Swansea due to family reasons. John’s materials have empowered us and our Team who continue transforming children’s lives in Kenya - moving them from poverty to purpose. You may not be in poverty, but allow me to contribute towards taking your business and life to a new level as a John Maxwell accredited speaker, teacher, coach.
