Mark Conard
Mark Conard and his wife, Stacey, were church-planting missionaries in rural western Zambia with the International Mission Board (IMB) for six years during which they came to realize the need for pastoral care in the missionary community. Mark was in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1992 to 1996 and served in Operation Restore Hope in Somalia. After leaving Zambia Mark served as a military chaplain in both Iraq and Afghanistan after which they joined SIM(Serving in Mission), a missionary sending organization.
Mark and Stacey provided member care to the SIM Missionaries on the SIM South Sudan team. They lived in Nairobi, Kenya and traveled into South Sudan and Cairo. Through the challenges of this experience they gained valuable insight into the lives of those who live in insecure areas touched by conflict, crime, and terrorism.
Today, Mark is a Missionary Chaplain with SIM USA, providing pastoral care to SIM missionaries both at home and internationally. Stacey serves alongside him to support and encourage missionary families and singles. Mark and Stacey have a heart to see Christian workers thriving in their area of service, growing spiritually and sharing Christ with all nations. Mark and Stacey have ministered in Zambia, South Sudan, Liberia, Namibia, Moldova, Nepal, Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya, Turkey and many other places around the world in their ministry.
Mark and Stacey have five children, Grace (18), Katie(17), Ben(13), Josiah(12)and Isaac(11).
