Terrence Bowers
Hello, my name Terrence Bowers and I am originally from Ft. Myers, Florida and currently live in Suffolk, Virginia. I have one daughter who recently graduated from Virginia State University with a Bachelor Degree in Education. During my spare time I enjoy reading personal development materials as well as inspiring literature. Furthermore, I enjoy traveling and visiting different geographical areas where I love to learn about the area’s culture and climate. Moreover, I love cooking, grilling, watching sports, and watching action packed movies.
I am a veteran and served two years in the US Navy which helped to shaped my thoughts as I had begun to focus on my academic journey as I transitioned out of the Armed Services in summer of 1992. I received by Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal at Christopher Newport University, Master’s Degree at Norfolk State University, and my Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.
I am currently an Administrator and a Professor at Tidewater Community College where I get the opportunity to empower students as well as the staff I work with each day. As a Student Affairs Administrator I am afforded the opportunity to provide leadership training to my student leaders who play a vital leadership role on the campus and out in their communities. Student development is very essential and fulfilling, especially when I get the opportunity to be part of the student’s journey and to watch them evolve as they persist towards graduation.
More important, as a student in the John Maxwell Certification Program, I would like to develop as a Leadership Coach and Trainer and begin building a leadership consulting firm. Also, as I grow my consulting firm my goal is to grow a six to seven figure earnings by empowering and adding value to leaders locally, regionally, and globally. I believe this new aspiration will allow me to build a life that will allow me to stop just existing and to begin living the abundant life, which God purposefully desires for me to have.
