Nabil Cherif
I was born in Tunisia and migrated to France, Germany, Italy, Malta, England, Switzerland, and Cyprus before landing in Kansas City in 2000 to attend college. I am fluent in French, Arabic, and English, working on my forth language Spanish. Over the years I worked a variety of jobs, from security officer to interpreter to karate instructor to a bus driver. I also spent every penny I could to travel and experience other cultures and countries. I also visited roughly 40 states in the U.S. to understand more of the American culture. I fell in love with the world of interpreting because of the opportunity to help people communicate and overcome cultural barriers. My passion for people and solving problems through language services spawned a desire to start my own language services company. I worked multiple jobs while tirelessly working to build a company. My determination was my cornerstone to push through the challenges of building a business, and Bridging the Gap Interpreting was born in 2007 (www.kansascityinterpreting.com). I am also a 2nd degree black belt in karate and a self defense instructor, a certified personal trainer with the International Sport Science Association (ISSSA). My plan is to become a life coach, a motivational speaker, a cultural trainer and a breakthrough facilitator. I am married and I am currently live with my wife between Kansas City and Chicago.
