Ray De Vries
I began my career in the restaurant industry as a manager and supervisor for a number of fast food chains, culminating in my owning my own restaurant. After twenty years, my life changed direction, and I spent the next twenty years as an ordained minister in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church where I still serve today in a church in Nashville as Executive Pastor of Ministries. As I reflect on my time in the ministry I have been blessed to be able to use my gifts and talents to make a difference in the lives of so many people. Over the course of my life, I have been fortunate to attend a number of events hosted by John Maxwell, and have been a member of the Maximum Impact Club for many years. When my son was going through a career transition in his life, I was able to introduce him to the John Maxwell concept of leadership. Last August, he became a Certified Coach, Teacher and Speaker with the John Maxwell Team. I participated in a Mastermind Group on Intentional Living facilitated by my son. And as a result of that study, I made the decision to join the John Maxwell Team myself. I will be retiring from my position as Executive Pastor of Ministries at the end of March, and I am excited to embark on a another twenty year career as a Certified Coach, Teacher and Speaker with the John Maxwell Team.
