Richard Hartberger
Senior Master Sergeant Richard L. Hartberger is the Superintendent of Warfighting Capabilities and Integration assigned to Communications and Cyber Forces First Air Force, Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida. He is 54 years old. Sergeant Hartberger was born in Fort Dix, New Jersey on October 1963. He Serves as a Subject Matter Expert in Communications and Cyber Forces on all Mission Systems and Information Technologies related projects for Air Forces Northern enterprise. In addition he is responsible for matters influencing morale, welfare, and professional development for the enterprise. Sergeant Hartberger enlisted in the Air Force in 1984. He completed nine years of active duty. He Palace Chased to the 141st Air Communications Squadron, Punta Boriquen, Puerto Rico Air National Guard. After six years, he transferred to the Florida Air National Guard joining the 290th Joint Communications Support Squadron at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. He was part of the C2 communications team that supported Army units during recovery efforts for four hurricanes that came though Florida in 2004 season. He then joined the 125th Communication Flight in 2005 as traditional Guard member and accepted an Active Guard Reserve position in 2009. After seven years with the 125th Communications Flight, he accepted an Active Guard Reserve position with 101st Air Communications Squadron, Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida. In 2016 he was selected for promotion to Senior Master Sergeant at First Air Force assuming his current position. Sergeant Hartberger is an active member on and off base in various professional organizations. In this capacity he is currently serving as the President for Air Force Northern Combined Enlisted association and Tyndall Top 3 Professional Development Chair. He has been a key catalyst in leading mentoring programs for Tyndall Air Force Base total force, and the Air National Guard enterprise, by delivering new skills in leadership and teamwork to attendees. He is also a member of the American Legion where he dedicates time to cook meals and interacts with the Veterans. Sergeant Hartberger was recently hand-picked by National Guard Bureau Headquarters as a 3D1X2 career field Subject Matter Expert to participate in the 3D1X2 Specialized Training Requirements Team, where he will help forge future training for all 3D1X2s in the Total Force. He is currently enrolled in a John Maxwell Leadership program where he will become a certified John Maxwell speaker and counselor on leadership and team building. Once certified he will continue to lead new leadership programs.
